Optimist Dreamer: Born original, dying legacy

Randomness

Home

house that built me

I’ve seen this path before

the familiar roads.

The changing of the leaves

yet the same old trees.

The town is old

but it’s where I’m from.

No place else in this world

feels like home.

I’ve moved away

but not too far.

I can still remember the smell-

all too well.

My heart is heavy

when I pull in.

To the place

where it all began.

The house looks older

but it’s still the same.

It represents more now

than it did back then.

I am now an adult

back then- a kid.

I will always come back

and search my soul.

To this place of peace

it’s what I call home.

Hopeful parents!

http://shine.yahoo.com/parenting/craigslist-adoptions-hopeful-parents-turning-website-start-families-170300827.html

“Hopeful parents are relying on their own homegrown social media skills to have a kid.”

Don’t wait- go out and get it!

It seems these days we rely so much on everyone else to do our job or research. What ever happened to our own hard core research, concern, and care. If we care so much about something- why aren’t we doing something about it?

I see so many people relying on the internet or a person to do all the work for them. Hypocritical? Sure it sounds that way.

Every person is responsible for themselves. Why is that so hard to grasp?

Using the internet to your advantage…there is nothing wrong with that. YOU doing it..not someone else. Why do we pay people so much extra money to do something that we can do on our own?

Especially with the economy being so bad…….and people complaining about it…are the same ones who pay people money for something they can do themselves…because it’s convenient!

Ex: adoption….in this case where it worked out without the extra work (involved by a professional)…but just by someone being passionate about it and sticking to it…and not giving up.

Another example: divorce…people pay all this money for a lawyer to do the dirty work because they’re “knowledgeable” when you can file it yourself and come to terms yourself, given the other person is willing or you can come to some form of agreement.

It just urks me that we’re so capable of doing things ourselves…yet aren’t willing.

I would like to see more people passionate and willing to follow their dreams….set goals….hold yourself accountable for your own life.

I’m willing….are you?

Thanks,

Hillary Parker
