Forever has no end

I told my friend I’d walk a while

as far as I could see.

Until the light blinded my eyes

where I could no longer be.

Fly high and look down below

Sometimes I might be waiting.

Looking for your guidance

While I’m still down here aging.

I told my friend I’m always here

until God calls us in.

Even though you are first, my friend

forever has no end.

Wait for me and pray for me

Sometimes I need to feel you.

You always knew what to say

and you knew how to get me through.

and never wasted a day.

A glimpse into a mending soul

I will never forget

the failure

from the day I said

I do

to the day I

signed that piece

of paper

 

my heart sank

it was the right

thing to do

but that decision

should have never

had to be made

 

I lost my lover

my best friend

the father

of my child

maybe even

a piece

of my heart

as well as

my dignity

 

it eats at me

day and night

it’s a scar

that I will

have to wear

forever

it’s a lesson

I had to learn

the hard way

Time

that I will never

get back

 

I never knew

how much one

decision could

change a life

or some else’s

whole life span

 

fortunately

for me

I never

had to cross

that path

my dad is

the ultimate

example

I wish I could

be more like him

his inner strength

is so inspiring

maybe one day…

 

maybe one day

I can bloom

from this

experience

and teach my

son the right

and wrong

to my decision

until then

I will continue

to grow

learn

and set the

best example

that I can

being a mother

is the best

thing I could

have ever

imagined

what a

blessing

the “right” thing

for me

I will be

forever
